Make some "good trouble" today
Today, I will be joining millions of people across the country at a No Kings Day rally. This time, I will be at the one in Iowa City, as I’m visiting my daughter who goes to the University of Iowa. From there, we’ll be headed to the Iowa vs. Penn State football game. Go, Hawkeyes!
If you’re on the fence about attending a protest near you, go. No, these are not going to be “Hate America” rallies, full of “antifa” and “terrorists,” as the MAGA Party is claiming.
I will be doing a Substack Live from the Iowa City rally in a few short hours.
Please send your photos to The Warning, and we will do our best to try to feature as many as possible right here.
As John Lewis famously said:
Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.
Oh, and did you hear that George Santos’ sentence has been commuted? In April, he was sentenced to seven years in prison. Donald Trump made the announcement on Truth Social yesterday:
George Santos was somewhat of a ‘rogue,’ but there are many rogues throughout our Country that aren’t forced to serve seven years in prison.
George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time and, by all accounts, has been horribly mistreated. Therefore, I just signed a Commutation, releasing George Santos from prison, IMMEDIATELY. Good luck George, have a great life.

Santos’ commutation is but one more reason to attend a NKD event to peacefully protest against this regime’s corruption and lawlessness!
Hella yes! We the people mean all of us!
