Donald Trump’s presence at Ground Zero was a travesty. It was yet another desecration of an American sacred space by the most venal human being to ever become president.
His long reign stands as a moral indictment of an utterly corrupted cause, sustained by a small cabal with big platforms who use them to divide, lie, incite, manipulate and defame for self-interest, power and money.
All autocratic movements are filled with vicious infighting and a culture of backstabbing, denunciations, purges, false accusations and brutal competition to be seated next to absolute power. MAGA’s civil war is fundamentally about those dynamics playing out. The drama that ensues from the madness creates extraordinary spectacle. Suddenly, the antisemitic conspiracy loon MTG has taken on a new role. She is the moral conscious of MAGA, decrying the racist and racism in their midst.
For the record, here was the offending bile that prompted MTG to speak up and out:
Interestingly, MTG found no outrage over the Nazi dining at Mar-a-Lago, or Tucker Carlson flirting with a Nazi who denies the Holocaust, and slanders one of freedom’s greatest champions, Winston Churchill, as one of its greatest villains.
Perhaps — and I’m just speculating here — but the offense might not be over the cruel racism, maniacal hate, or even Nazis lurking behind every Mar-a-Lago bush not otherwise occupied by an indicted felon, convicted felon, conman, fraudster, sexual predator, or corrupt schemer. Perhaps the issue at hand is where Laura Loomer is laying her head at the end of a hard MAGA day. Perhaps MTG has never been ensconced in the luxurious Mar-a-Lago sheets imported from China, or tasted a fresh glass of orange juice on the veranda first thing in the morning. The three things that she and Lauren Boebert can agree on is that the play “Beetlejuice” was better than the sequel, handsy congresswomen face a double standard, and Laura Loomer shouldn’t be laying down anywhere near Trump. The favor of the leader has long raised the most primal of passions amongst his followers. A lot of people may forget, but apparently Jim Jones and David Koresh had to beat the ladies off. (It’s an expression, and in no way endorses JD Vance’s sanctimonious nuttery that beaten women should stay married to their abuser. It does make perfect sense if the top of the ticket is an adjudicated rapist, who believes 13-year-olds should face government-mandated pregnancy that end in the delivery of their rapist’s child.)
At any rate, even in a season of astonishing decay and a ceaseless assault on virtue, patriotism, and decency by the MAGA fascists, they manage to mine new depths of depravity and disrespect towards the American people and the United States on what seems like a daily basis. For instance, fresh off defiling Arlington National Cemetery, Donald Trump brought a liar and nut job to the sites of a crime against humanity — the mass murder of thousands of people from 115 countries — who calls the attack an “inside job.”
There are no words for the desecration and its disgustingness. Truly. Maybe next year President Trump will bring Rudy Giuliani, and ask Melania to give him a lap dance in the memorial fountain.
Laura Loomer is a moral disaster, who shares the same terra firma as the Holocaust deniers who miraculously seem to gather around the MAGA torch like bugs to the light. She is clearly playing a big role in the Trump campaign. Her status as advisor in residence is most curious, and certainly gives her a pole position in the first and last in the ear competition around Trump that helped Uday and Qusay to convince their father to pick Palin with a beard for VP.
One thing that I didn’t see coming in the fall was the probability that Trump might take a mistress, or that she might be a conspiracy nut, or even that it could be Laura Loomer.
Anything is possible.
Have you heard?
They’re eating dogs in Ohio.
Just wait until you find out about what happens after dark at Mar-a-Lago. It seems MTG might finally be amongst the first to actually know something. Whatever it is, something made her very sad and very mad, and I’m guessing it isn’t the Nazi in the room next door.
I’m sad to say it, but the fact that this is where we are as a country is an indictment of this country. The fact that it has to be written about. The fact that we’re discussing eating dogs and cats, or the apparent vileness of women without children. This crew did not drop in from outer space, but are here in power or at the gates of power because there are enough Americans who support them.
MTG very mad she is not his chosen concubine; only explanation.
