Lies strangle the truth in the plain light of day
Wars are easy to begin, but difficult to end.
How will the war in Iran end?
Killing Ayatollahs has not weakened the Iranian regime’s grip over its people — or the world’s economy.
The cessation of the flow of oil through the narrow Strait of Hormuz will cause chaos across the world’s economies over the next weeks and months should the war rage on.
How should the American media cover the economic threat?
What about the 200 American casualties and 13 killed in action?
Dubai, a source of so much corrupt money for the Trump regime, has bared its illiberal fangs by locking up any person who dares show an Iranian attack via photograph.
Trump would love that.
He would have loved the Espionage Act of 1917 that made it a federal crime to interfere with military operations, obstruct recruitment, or convey information intended to assist the enemy.
He does not appear to enjoy any questions being asked about his unnecessary and sloppily started war.
Why is the United States at war?
According to FCC chairman Brandon Carr, a first-rate Little Eichmann, the answer must be a patriotic one at the broadcast networks:
Here is Trump raging about the fake media:
Here is Pete Hegseth:
Some in the press just can't stop. Allow me to make a few suggestions. People look at the TV and they see banners, headlines -- I used to be in that business, I know everything is written intentionally. For example, a banner -- 'Mideast War Intensifies.' What should the banner read instead? How about, 'Iran increasingly desperate,' because they are. Or more fake news from CNN. The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better.
It is obscene.
Here is something else that is obscene. David Zaslav will walk away from the Paramount deal and CNN, a network he substantially wrecked, with $887,000,000 in cash.
The entire deal was rotten from the beginning.
Whatever is the name for what produced Shari Redstone’s corrupt decision to appease Trump through a form of legal bribery and sell Paramount to the Ellisons, ‘free market capitalism’ isn’t one of them.
The corruption is otherworldly.
Yet, it has succeeded in giving the Ellisons control of CBS, CNN, HBO, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., and Nickelodeon. They will also command major streaming platforms, a huge IP library, and a significant share in TikTok U.S..
On April 25, the nation’s political journalists and famous news brands will gather together for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
This year, Trump says he will attend.
Each journalist will be expected to raise their glass and toast the American fascist Donald Trump, who has made a mockery of the First Amendment with his daily threats and abuse of both journalists and the truth. It will be an abominable spectacle, and no journalist possessing a shred of dignity will attend.
None.
A black-tie evening, featuring a demented president who has sent brutal paramilitaries into America’s cities, and is building concentration camps from industrial warehouses, is a grotesquerie.
Attendance is an act of collaboration with a very real and present evil. Each attendee will be an actor upon a stage, a player in a farce that is boiling with venom.
There is no more room to stand in a non-existent middle, which was evaporated a long time ago. The choice is MAGA or America.
It cannot be evaded.
The appeasements of Donald Trump will only ever become more shameful as time goes on. The foolishness and greed that succumbed to Trump’s toxic bluster is pathetic. The moral weakness is appalling and immeasurable. Lies have strangled the truth in the plain light of day, especially on network and cable news, where the lowest common denominator has become rocket fuel in an era of unrivaled idiocy.
The stakes are going up day by day in America, and it is hard to know what is happening.
That isn’t an accident.
Donald Trump does not want Americans to know what is happening because he knows that if they figure out the scale of the growing calamity he’s going to lose even worse than the crushing defeat he is headed for in November.
Soon, we will have checks and balances again.
Soon, we will have opposition with teeth.
Until then, we must all hold the line.
Appeasing Trump can take many forms.
Sometimes even in black tie over steak and chicken with a few scholarships thrown in.
What journalist would conceivably play the role of useful idiot for a man who said this?
“Quiet, piggy.”
And this, when a female reporter asked him a question:
“Can you say why we’re sending 5,000 Marines and sailors?”
“Shhhhh. You’re a very obnoxious person,” he responded.
Donald Trump despises the First Amendment.

As Trump cosplays as a dictator now wanting to “take Cuba”
China is just walking by the USA and “taking” our lunch.
This imbecilic abuser malignant narcissist will go down as the one that destroyed American power.
I guarantee it.
" For example, a banner -- 'Mideast War Intensifies.' What should the banner read instead? How about, 'Iran increasingly desperate,' because they are. Or more fake news from CNN. The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better." Hegseth
That one statement proves how ignorant this totally unqualified, pathetic Secretary of Defense is. He seems (or pretends to) be unaware that he is suggesting news outlets should be in the business of propagandizing not accurate, verifiable dissemination of what is actually going on in the world.
The intensification of a war is easily ascertained and fact based. The "desperation" of the Iranian nation is based on emotions and indeterminable at this point, other than by the fact that they refuse to unconditionally surrender and in fact, demand that the U.S. pay for rebuilding what they destroyed and that a ban on future attacks be guaranteed before the war ends.
We were the aggressors.
