Well, Madam Moron, the reason FEDERAL assistance is vital to states after events like Hurricane Katrina is because the states, in the immediate aftermath HAVE NO FUCKING INFRASTRUCTURE! Cell towers are down. Emergency responders cannot even communicate with each other even if they have a command post that is still standing. Even if they could locate and get to people in crisis, emergency vehicles have often been destroyed, roads are impassable, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced and hospitals are accesible only by boat. I refer you to historian Douglas Brinkley's brilliant book, After The Deluge. Oh, wait. I forgot, trump cabinet members can't read. Never mind.

This goes beyond abuse of power to crimes against humanity; cuts to programs like USAID and medical research as well as denial of due process and cruel and usual punishments and the imposition of unconstitutional tariffs at the whim of a moron must and will end.
