As your volunteer copy editor, I strongly suggest you spell the guy's name right as a simple act of respect for your subject, even if you don't respect anything about CBS News and have good reason to be skeptical that Dokoupil's idealism about broadcast journalism and his good intentions in taking over the anchor spot will make a whit of difference in where CBS News is headed.
I think what he is saying is that we will interview the MAGA crowd to get their POV, and that will be what they put out as news. He is saying - we will listen to you, listen to your opinions, and then broadcast that as news. Bari won’t pull those stories.
