Hypnotized and paralyzed

The high court of history will sentence this putrid era of American corruption, weakness and insanity harshly, and without mercy for its architects.
Over the last 10 years of America’s decline there is one absurd idea that stands above all others.
It is the idea that Trump should be taken “seriously, but not literally.”
The concept is inherently corrupt. It is also a beacon for our descendants to fully understand this awful stretch of American history during which our values, virtues and ideals long celebrated became infected by the Trump cancer.
Understanding the inherent rot of the animating concept, which holds that whatever Trump says can only be interpreted by Trump, and nothing the most powerful man in the world, who commands an arsenal of 5,177 nuclear weapons, says has meaning is key to appreciating the spectacular danger of this moment.
The whole world has become hypnotized by Trump’s incoherence, paralyzed by his idiocies, while searching for meaning behind them. It seems a fool’s errand.
Look at this list of Trump proclamations and contradictions since he attacked Iran on February 28, 2026, published by MeidasTouch Network:
It is extraordinary to behold.
Thirteen Americans have been killed and hundreds wounded by this incoherence, while Iranian civilian casualties number 3,540, according to U.S.-based rights group HRANA, with 1,616 of those civilians, including at least 244 children.
Here is a photograph (from yesterday) of the countdown clock on Israeli television anticipating the hour of Trump’s promised threat:
Trump has managed to create a low-rated version of the famous “Who Shot JR?” episode from Dallas, except in this cliffhanger, Trump alone is the author of the script.
What will he do?
What will the US military do if Trump ordered the release of a nuclear weapon?
What will the reaction of the American people be if Trump does what he promised in Iran today?
Will we take to the streets chanting “USA! USA! USA!?”
Will we head to churches, synagogues and mosques praying for peace?
Will we cheer the start of World War III, or cry over what is to come?
Donald Trump ran for president promising peace, and yet today we wait for the beginning of a great escalation in an illegal war that will make the Trump order one of the most infamous illegal orders in history.
What will happen tonight?
Will Trump order the crime?
Or…
Will Trump TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out)?
What do you think?
Either way, when the dawn breaks tomorrow, America will be weaker, less respected, less trusted and more corrupt.
The price of Trump and his family is a very costly one.

In a past version of America, I would expect the military to stand fast and refuse to execute this order. (I worked as a civilian along side mostly military in a military operational command for 30 years, so I have some insight here.) But Hegseth has steadily gotten rid of the senior officers who would have done that, and installed trump puppets.
If this operation takes place, it will go down along side some of the most heinous events in history.
Global PTSD. Can we not sue him as a Nation?
