How the Democrats can win over rural America | A conversation with Robert Arnold

Thank you

, , , , , and many others for tuning into my conversation with .

The majority of The Warning community consists of coastal Democrats, so it was fascinating to hear from Robert, who is born and raised in Arkansas — a region of the country that has been largely abandoned by the Democratic Party.

We covered a lot of ground, beginning with the results of the special elections. We agreed that it was not the Democratic Party that is “back,” as Hakeem Jeffries said on Tuesday night, but rather, it was Democratic voters who came out to express their disdain for the MAGA Party.

We also talked about potential Democratic presidential candidates for 2028, how Robert defines “progressive” values, how the MAGA voter in Arkansas is feeling right now, and how to convince someone who considers himself to be a “traditional conservative,” and hates Donald Trump, but can’t currently find a way to support a Democrat.

I hope you’ll tune in to hear what we had to say.
