John D I think you’ll find numerous kindred spirits who are subscribers to Substacks. I’ve joined multiple ones as I find them more trustworthy than any other media. Even here in 🇨🇦 we are beginning to notice the lapses in truthfulness, the appointment of young kids straight out of a BA in journalism being given talking points that they read out faithfully word for word without any concern about the validity of what they are saying. Even notable anchors on CNN and MSNBC are pushing the limits by spewing gobbledigook and thinking that the viewers won’t notice a white lie here, a white lie there. This whole charade perpetuated by the media offends my sensibilities and it’s the #1 reason I spend money on Substacks even if I must pay the extra cost of the exchange rate.

These truths are very disturbing. My question daily is “where do go from here”? Our local Resistance group is strong but we are a very small boat in a gigantic sea. There seems to be nothing that will stop the fall of America. I am optimistic but the task gets more daunting every day that these deranged people remain in power. I try to understand the cult followers but really, isn’t that just a waste of time? The “other side” seems hell bent on joining in the destruction of America. How will we turn this boat around?

My theory was that Gaza situation pushed everyone into a new plan of Biden-Harris running again in 2024, with Biden stepping down after a year. I spend time with a lot of elderly people, and have run several smaller companies. What impressed me the most with Biden was the team that he put together. They were knowledgeable, experienced and had the stamina of younger people. I think that the Hunter Biden stuff totally took an emotional toll. (RE: Hunter, I was amazed that NO ONE looked at the head injury from the a evident at a young age and the correlation with some of his issues.)
The intimidation coming from the Biden supporters would never have been out in the open for all of us to see. It was a behind the scenes thing from the inside circle & perhaps even those very highly paid beltway consultants & PR people.

From the day I watched the debacle of The overbearing bully Joe Scarborough and Made over Mika, I have boycotted Morning Joe. They lost me for all time. It was always a great show (when Blowhard Joe was absent anyway) and I miss the guests and their analysis, but that crossed the line for me.
I stopped watching Morning Joe a couple years ago, Joe was insufferable, Mika is a meh, the guests I do miss, they were all morning people, I almost never see any of them on MSNBC’s late afternoon - evening shows. The show was better anytime Joe took the day off.
They got played - plain and simple, and showed very poor judgment. They lost more than viewers, they lost credibility and the respect of their peers as well.
People really are being "disappeared". I haven't heard about mass murders yet, but it feels like it's coming. I can't figure out who's in control - the truth has been gone for a while. Stock values go up and down like a kind of fantasy (like the value of diamonds, or tulips) - it's a sales thing. Truth is, we need to figure out the kind of world we want, and as the economy crashes (I think that is coming right up) we are going to see what doesn't work. Getting information that seems truthful feels important, so thank you Steve!
