Can anyone, please, explain why Polis commuted her sentence? I don't get it. She obviously did not deserve a commutation and I don't understand what Polis thinks he will gain by acting so irresponsibly.

”I really agree with the Appeals Court that found that her sentence was longer than it should have been because me and many others disagree with what she has to say. I certainly believe that she has said many things that are demonstrably false, she very well believes in many conspiracy theories, but just because somebody believes that the Earth is flat, it doesn’t mean that they deserve a longer sentence than somebody who believes it’s round, so I adjusted the sentence. I cut it in half. She’ll be paroled shortly.
Bullshit- Did he commute the sentence of every prisoner being held on a marijuana charge? After all, people are making millions of dollars selling legal marijuana today. Did he personally look into every claim of an unfairly long prison sentence?
Obviously, her four and a half years in prison didn't change her position! I hope that she doesn't become a poster child for the MAGAs; but she probably will! She is a convicted felon, who will probably be pardoned by her hero, frump! Thank you, Governor Polis-NOT!
Good question! I live in Colorado, and was shocked by what Polis did! Of course, I let him know immediately, (LOL)! The Democrats of Colorado have censured him! He is ending his second term, so he had nothing to gain from what he did. Was he and his family threatened? Were certain items in Colorado, threatened of being taken away? That wouldn't make sense, because frump has already taken away important things from Colorado, and moved them to "red states'. Maybe founding into Colorado has been threatened? Who knows, anything is possible with this administration! It will be interesting if Polis reveals why he made this horrible decision, after he leaves office. He could have left office on a good note, this decision has ruined his two terms as governor! Meanwhile, Ms. Peters will be running around the state, and country, telling everyone that Democrats will rig the elections!

America is founded on a grounding principle of the separation of Church and State. In a New Republic piece by Katherine Stewart(https://bit.ly/4x3loIv), she outlines the CNPP’s(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) effort to blur if not outrightly disintegrate this separation. Once felt to be fringe, the movement has gained momentum.
Another long held but subtheme amongst the now CNPP is a movement to a metallic standard and although not discussed much these days, there is a Constitutional argument that the country should be on a metallic standard. And there are financial commentators such as Dalio and Kowasaki saying that a financial collapse of the dollar is imminent and that one of the fixes would be a return to a gold standard for the country.
What is bothersome is that if the fiat dollar is to undergo complete debasement and a return to a gold standard is one of the solutions politically, it will serve as validation of the CNPP’s position which would reinforce their position of the disintegration of separation of Church and State.
