Glorifying an outrage pimp
Historically, one has not had to look very hard — or far — to find a prince of the church cavorting with fascists, or working hard to seek their favor.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan has repeatedly embarrassed himself during the Trump era with hyperbole that suggests that he might be more attuned to the mirror than a deeper type of reflection — or perhaps enamored of politics, or even a faction.
Here is his latest:
He compares Kirk to a "modern-day St. Paul."
He was a missionary, he's an evangelist, he's a hero. He's one I think that knew what Jesus meant when he said the truth will set you free…
The difference is the way, the mode, the style that he did it always with respect and not only was that a gracious kind of virtuous thing to do, it's effective…
What they're seeing is almost this kind of revival of a sense of value and truth and conviction, almost an elevation of the role of faith back into the public square where our founders intended it to be from the beginning…
Charlie Kirk was an outrage pimp, captured below, thanks to the Seneca Project:
This White House video is genuinely shocking:
Honestly, I didn’t know Leni Riefenstahl was working again.
Here is an NBC News story detailing the Pete Hegseth-led War Department (lol) plans to use Charlie Kirk — who never served in uniform — as the symbol of a new MAGA warrior military.
MAGA is trying to turn Charlie Kirk into an American Horst Wessel, and demanding submission to their martyr’s ideas with a digital mob leading the charge.
Cardinal Dolan should be ashamed of himself. What a hack. How depressing to see a prince of the church succumb to the worship of an orange calf.
It is essential and necessary to reject the accusations that assert any person who reviles Donald Trump killed Charlie Kirk.
It is necessary to repudiate the notion that Charlie Kirk stood for American values. He did not.
The First Amendment is not negotiable in America.
What we are witnessing is an authoritarian power grab and the threatened criminalization of dissent.
This Trump regime has given birth to a new McCarthyism. It is as poisonous and immoral as the last.
My friends, things are going to get much worse in America before this ends in the complete, absolute and utter repudiation of Donald Trump and his MAGA by an uprising of the American people at the ballot box.
Until then, do not bow.
Instead, stand up for your rights.

It is increasingly obvious that people who support Trump are contradicted by facts and logic. Kirk was a schill for Trump. So is Dolan and so are the six contemptible fascist "justices" sitting on the Supreme Court. However, more people every day are beginning to see through Trump and his evil cadre of supporters and apologists. Here is a powerful example:
A column by attorney George F. Gallard, is a no-holds-barred indictment of the six fascist SCOTUS justices. Some quotes:
“Lawyers who comment publicly on the Supreme Court tend to do it politely. I think it’s time to stop pulling punches.”
He goes on to list “educated guesses,” backed by solid evidence, as to why there has been “a hailstorm of unexpected rulings paralyzing attempts of lower courts to rein in President Donald Trump.” To find out how he backs up his “educated guesses,” click here: https://www.dailygazette.com/commentary-why-does-the-supreme-court-keep-backing-trump/article_daa8b1ef-a012-44cd-8126-6f0d42cd7a7f.html The column originally appeared in The Chicago Tribune.
The guesses:
“I believe four of the justices are deeply influenced by resentment, if not hatred, of the Democrats.”
“...they lack empathy. None of them seems bothered by the sadistic cruelty of Trump and his crew.”
“...they invent doctrines to scrap things they hate and ignore those doctrines to uphold things they like.”
“...they seem poor judges of character.”
“...finally, I think Roberts and Barrett fear that if they rule against Trump, he’ll ignore the rulings.”
The last sentence in the column is, "Shame on them all.”
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit."
Matthew 7:15-17 KJV
