Sending immigrants to cruel El Salvadoran prisons w/o due process was only the beginning of Trump's lawless rule. He has threatened to label those who protest at Tesla dealerships as criminals and send them to the same prisons.

We are in dire need of jurists like Judge Boasberg to stand up to this LITERAL monster. We need more protests; we must use civil disobedience and in the wise words of John Lewis make "good trouble."

Steve, I keep getting emails from you and other Substackers asking if I’d like to donate a month or two of your content to a friend or relative.

I’d rather have you all set up a fund where we could donate what we get to already readers who have less money to buy subscriptions. They’re on the free list but would like to upgrade to a higher level, to see more content.

Establish a scholarship that current subscribers can donate to. Good idea…or not.

This is a program that's led and managed by Substack. Writers don't have any control over it, but this is a good suggestion, which I'll share with the Substack team.

Thanks for your support.

I remember when Rupert Murdoch lost in court and understood his death would usher in a seismic shift in how Fox would be run should he lose appeals.

McKay Coppins is under scoring my thoughts. I'll be reading his article.

A glimmer of hope for democracy.

Is your vote SAFE? Will your vote be purged by vigilante challengers? Scared? Get Angry Protest

The Nazis(aka Republicans) SAVE Act and access to Americans private information The Nazis will use this information using AI to eliminate voters from the voting rolls with election consequences

We have the numbers they have the cash. The SAVE act will require proof of birth either by original birth certificate(who has that) or passport

The SAVE ACT will require people are asked to register or re-register to vote (31m do that every year….for various reasons change address/change county, change name with marriage) voters will have to prove they are citizens in order to vote This can be done in 2 ways: 1) proof of birth either by original birth certificate(who has that?) or 2 passport (12% have passports and are usually white and wealthy) What about women who have different last names now? Try to register if you do not have your original birth certificate because marriage licenses, military ID’s will not count This is why the Trump regime tried to do away with birthright citizenship

The result of the SAVE ACT: Massive drain of the voter rolls

Call your congressperson to vote against the SAVE ACT 202 224 3121

There is a sense that things are falling apart. We are in a free fall. What remains of the IRS is expecting a 10 percent reduction in tax payments this year because many people believe the agency no longer has the staff or the means to go after them.

I’m not giving the government one more cent of my money. I have always filed and I have always PAID. Fuck that. They are using tax dollars for despicable acts. Acts that hurt my heart and make me sick. I am timing an extension and then NOT anything else. And I’m not alone. Many of my friends and colleagues are doing the same thing.

Steve, one thing I have always told my daughters is to BE CURIOUS, to take nothing at face value, to think critically and carefully, and to ask fucking questions. I love your interviews and your questioning. You leave nothing on the table. You ask ALL the fucking questions, and follow up on responses. Good questions lead to more questions. A probing and thorough interview with McKay Coppins. Well done.

Steve, I'd love to see you as president of Fox News! Your deep knowledge of history, appreciation for the great American experiment, interview skills and advocacy for responsible free speech would make you perfect for leading and transforming Fox into an organization that respects journalistic integrity, truth and democracy.

The posts in this short article make clear what a petty, small, vengeful and dangerous person Trump is: https://www.joemygod.com/2025/03/felon-threatens-maine-gov-apologize-to-me-or-else/

I often wonder about what it would take to dismantle the Fox brainwashing complex, so this conversation really hit home.

Rupert Murdoch's testimony in the Dominion lawsuit acknowledged the network lies brazenly as a matter of business policy, as he agreed it was all about "the green". The idea that he envisions "mini-me" Lachlan as his preferred heir apparent to carry forward the Fox legacy which is an absolute blight on humanity, as a matter of principle, really underscores what a deranged and evil monster he is. (Evil is not a word I use lightly to describe a human being).

I think another important source of Conservative Republican interest which needs to be further acknowledged and monitored are the activities and efforts of the Koch Brothers that is occurring in the meantime. Here is a link to one piece of information on their current activities.

The Koch Brother interests appear to be directed as turning more House races in Blue States into wins for the Republican MAGA candidates as I understand the article.
