Yesterday, I appeared as a guest on the PBD podcast with Patrick Bet-David and his co-hosts, Vinny Oshana and Adam Sosnick. Patrick was clearly surprised that I’d agreed to do this because he opened the show by saying: I always respect anybody that is willing to go on any podcast and talk game. I got a lot of respect for people like that.
They had you at a disadvantage Steve when they showed videos of people walking peacefully in the Capital. Had you been given the opportunity you could have countered with videos of all of the violence that went on. Millions of us watched it live! That said, members of the trump cult probably believe that people are being persecuted unnecessarily because that’s what they want to believe.
Steve, I just caught your long interview on PBD Podcast on You Tube. You were fantastic!! The Trump tweet re: Milley came up and those guys couldn’t even answer your basic question! Nor did they seem to be able to grasp the concept that 1/6 was worse than 9/11 for our democracy!! Love the fighter in you against crazy Vinny. Tough as nails boy would I LOVE to see you take Trump on in person or moderate any if those debates. Hope your readers at the Warning get to see this!

I couldn’t agree more, Lauren. And.... it was fascinating, watching the education taking place in that room as Steve described in detail the history of some key events that have happened in our country. Steve is scary smart in this space & he has all the facts and draws people in. I know at least one sometimes two were listening. Let’s hope SOME of their podcast viewers really took it in.

In the first clip, I felt a deep disgust, reading all the names on those repurposed safe deposit boxes behind you; I wonder what is in them, what crazy, inexplicable, traitorous ideas those people wrote down and locked in those boxes?
I admire not only the way you took on their bullshit, but especially the way you spoke to them in creating a bridge to understanding the Trump voter as well as Hillary Clinton's imagined presidency, had it happened. If even one MAGAt is questioning his beliefs because of your words on that podcast, it was worth my listening to the whole two hours for.

And their Exhibit A is the "shaman" casually strolling/searching about, illegally I may add, inside the Capitol. Although I did not watch the entire podcast, I watched enough to realize that I need to start listening to and engaging more of these podcasts. We have reached a point of absurdity in these forums at which there is not just no longer any meaningful dialog, but the dialog reaches a level of disrespectful vitriol that leaves no open avenue of agreement without the total capitulation of one side or the other. In my opinion, your reaction to the MAGA conspiracy bullshit was far more measured than mine would have been. However, the real tale is told by the written comments after the podcast; there are no dissenters to the point of view of PBD, or at least no published dissenters. Virtually all of them condemned you with typical school yard bully insults. "Vinny", whoever he believes he is, is just another loud mouthed, opinionated bully, but unfortunately, he has a following of the latest iteration of "ditto heads". His delivery at high volume reminds me of some people who are trying to communicate with others who do not speak English. They somehow think that if they raise their voices in English, the other person will magically understand what they're saying. Stay the course, and I will look forward to your next communication.
