The Iraq fiasco foisted upon him by Cheney, the creation of the surveillance monster DHS, and the built-in hostility to tax equity of the GOP—not to mention the electoral and cultural inability of Republicans to let go of Nixon’s racist “Southern Strategy”—are all contributing factors to creating our current crisis. His personal shortcomings were far less grotesque than Trump’s; but given his limitations, he had no chance of overcoming the forces in play that led to the disastrous outcome of his presidency.
However, whatever shortcomings he had and, there were many, he still respected the electoral process and the faith and trust in American elections. This is something our current dotard POTUS cannot do. And, this is also what makes him the worst and most dangerous POTUS we have elected. Our last hope is the mid terms in November.

He told them they were better than everyone else and that their Christian faith was foundational to the American identity, that he would remove the "poison" in our bloodstream, restore law and order and re-create an economy where they, the hard working oppressed white men, would earn their just rewards. These "myths" led them to follow a dangerous malignant narcissist into the terrible country and world we live in today.
No sure why the George Patton of our era has to hide in a food cart like a stale chicken sandwich, then use journalists and his own cabinet officials as human shields to fly back from a friendly NATO country. Such winning! This made such an impact on JFK that he did his own research which changed his policies to begin building the social safety net that has been destroyed by present day fascist Republicans.
Affordability today with the loss of the purchasing power of the dollar and now the destruction of the social safety net(health care coverage, food stamps, childhood meal programs) defined as public programs that protect people from poverty and severe economic hardship is being attacked by the supposed fiscally responsible fascist Republicans who have pushed the national debt to $40T with a daily debt service of $3B/day.
Meanwhile DOGE falsified records of the savings that the Muskrat actually made. The Government Accounting Office(GAO) reports it’s now estimated that the savings that the racist and apartheid supporter cost the American taxpayer $11-15B due to DOGE activities and cuts to governmental agencies. By debilitating federal agencies by firing civil employees which was promoted by the Project 2025 fascists, the cost in terms of election and national security have become obvious.
So the fascist message is tough shit, buck up and shut up.
