Reality caught up with him. Finally. A man who could reach the heights of invention and become the richest man in the world could only happen in America. You voice a sentiment across the country. But it is you and only you who has said it with clarity. I can only add this. How ungrateful of him to hide behind a social media platform to do just what he wanted to do at this moment of his life, sink it to his level with the clarity of his image holding a HEAVY SINK! And what he tweeted to his followers epitomizes his position around the criminal attack on the Speaker of the House, with the intent of TORTURE and the result of her husband undergoing surgery, now in the ICU and not at home with her and their family. What he tweeted and then cowardly deleted is not a turn of conscience, but just a way of saying"Oops!." What he tweeted is a window into his Saudi and Chinese investments to close his deal, already producing the type of returns expected from two violators of human rights, where torture and assassination is acceptable. What he tweeted created that hollow sound that comes from those who laughed off the attack against the Pelosi Family, those who also spoke of the rise in crime in partisan cries and not the resulting violence that their virulence and fundraising windfall have brought on the nation and its most visible politicians, appointed officials and members of the courts. What he tweeted gave voice to those who to this day have not condemned the degradation of the belief in the American elections as secure and an example to the rest of the world and has perpetuated the midterm salivation that has trumped all decency, by stoking uncertainty in American democracy. What he tweeted is pure cruelty. In my world it has a name, Schadenfreude.

Thank you Steve! You spoke for us all...

(Jeez, I despise that guy... I like his cars, but that's about it. And even though my kids and my bro own and love their teslas, I won't buy one because EM should go broke. May twitter make that happen 🙏🏽

Or at least may he read this letter from you and have an epiphany.)

Here are my thoughts... from a Wisconsin boy who moved to New Jersey. I think shut the f up is giving him a pass. I deactivated my Twitter account when I read his tweet blaming a hammer attack on an 82 year old man... but it was more than that. It was political propaganda via homophobia vomited on the platform he now owns. His “brilliant” mind has the same logic as a Proud Boy. His logic is the same exact logic buried in the minds of millions of people in this country who just wanna keep otherizing. He’s not exceptional. He’s just an asshole.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am today to read this. Just like during last elections, you give me hope.

I don't know what my mind would do without yours. You are a comfort to me in these very dark times. I know no one as politically articulate and brilliant as you. Not one word you speak is wasted. Each is a gem. Thank you.

I have an idea (this is tangential to the present discussion but wanted to put itnout there).

You made a statement in Amy that resonates, having to do with the exhausted majority.

Can we make a shirt?

EXHAUSTED MAJORITY. on the front

Your more extensive words on the back.

"THIS.

Our rallying cry.

Steve Schmidt:

"I am not afraid of any of these people. I will not be afraid of these people. The whole fetid lot of liars, weirdos, loons, militias, religious nuts, fascists and conspiracy theorists, all of them, need to understand something. The rest of us are holding the line and we aren’t taking one more fucking step backwards to accommodate this insanity. Not one. The Exhausted Majority is what I’m part of. It’s got Republicans, democrats, independents, new voters and new citizens. It’s made up of people of all faiths, creeds/religions and no religion at all. It is common sense based and we are sick of the bullshit and will not allow a belligerent minority to hijack our Country, our Families, our Kids, our Faiths, our Communities, our unity, our liberty, our bodies and our future. Never."

What say you?

If, as Aristotle posited, “we are what we repeatedly do,” then Elon is a loudmouth, bigot and bully. In other words, an asshat.

Would like to be there when he reads it. Good on you, Steve. May Mr. Musk and his $44 billion go quickly down that seemingly bottomless Twitter drain.

Thank you. You wrote what we were thinking, although I would not have had the restraint to use symbols in place of the words he deserves. Sadly, I doubt he will see this.

I was going to buy a Tesla. Fuck him. If I can find an electric I like from GM or a Japanese manufacturer, I’m buying that.

I refuse to put another dime in this sick man’s pocket.

Oh, and Biden should just nationalize STARLINK for the duration of the Russian incursion.
