Nothing less than court martial can be charged for every one of the military leaders who obviously cannot live up to their constitutional oaths. I have no idea what kind of charge can be against The Drunk, but there has to be something equal. Maybe re-institute his military rank and then court martial would be appropriate.

I like it!

Do to him for his stupidity what he wanted to do to Senator Kelly for speaking truth.

Pete Hegseth is a lier, and a disgrace to our military men and women, and their families! I cannot express how angry I am with Hegseth, and the POTUS; who have NO RESPECT for anyone but themselves! This has got to STOP!! I am writing my senators to request that Hegseth be impeached, and maybe the Head of the Navy as well! Our service men and women deserve justice! What a disgrace, what a dishonor, this is to those who truly protect America and its people! These men and women risk their lives everyday for us, and this is what they receive from our Secretary of Defense and our POTUS! Shame on them both!

In good wickedly ironic fashion, the current collective condition of the 5,000 courageous, loyal sailors and kindred human souls abusively and unjustly still aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is a metaphor for the moral and mental human flotsam and jetsam that is Pete Kegsbreath, a floating Potemkin Secretary of War Crimes buoyed only by his continuously inflated, bloated and bloviating, narcissistic self in the image of the Commander-as-Thief.

Wow. This is really painful. My Dad enlisted in the Navy at 18 to fight in the Korean War. The only thing he would ever talk about was how to make great pancakes for breakfast. But he gave his itchy and heavy deck jacket to me which I wore for years. For many years I have been a RN who sometimes gets stuck in the hospital during a snowstorm. Worst: 36 hours. Not 250 days. In all these years since his passing, I have never missed him more. Never once did he complain. This situation is beyond egregious.

What do we say to the Americans who voted for this?

Husaria's avatar

You can’t say anything to them actually.

Whatever facts and data you told them would go in their right ear ( or left ) and out left ear ( or right ). There would be a rushing whistling sound of air you would notice. A hollow woosh as there isn’t much between those ears.

In short, YCFS.

I’d type it here but it would probably get me the boot 🥾! I ask them real nice like - is this what YOU voted for? 🤔 Huh?!?! - Riz🧑🏻‍🦲🃏☕️👨‍🦼‍➡️🎣☮️🚐🇺🇸⚾️.

I would say to all those who voted for tRump, you were a fool; you didn’t listen. You only cared about your 401(k) ;you thought he had people around him who would prevent things like they did the first time when we told you that those people would all be gone, and nothing but sycophants would be in charge.

Or you were just stupid, uninformed and hateful. But what angers me more than all of this is that disgusting, disgraceful, so-called president in his gilded White House, stealing our money, telling us to suck it up and not giving a flying you know what about the people who are risking their lives on his stupid behalf.

And then all of you 93 million people who didn’t vote, you had better get to the polls and do the right thing, come November.

The situation in America and the problems resulting from Trump's corruption, incompetence, and ego are out of control. Aided by his imbecilic Christian white supremacists we seemed to have hit rock bottom. However, the only real rock bottom might be the total destruction of our nation, its values, reputation, and economy.

There is a sword of Damocles hanging over our nation. If foreign holders of our Treasury bonds begin to sell en masse, our currency, like the Deutshmark in the 1920's, will become worth less than paper it is printed on.

I think this is the only catastrophe that will bring the Trump cultists to their senses. And, it will be too late.

Well, we might try: "No one is born into sin but rather acquires that ascription through intellectual laziness and self-deception that ignores genuine moral character, opting instead to share a cult leader's malignant narcissism and psychotic delusion about what and who is good or evil."

Hegseth is a despicable piece of shit .. Our sailors and our ship in trouble is unconscionable . These people will never go to jail even though they deserve to.. Hegshit and dumpty.. The electric gloves being given to the ICE goons is the last straw for this week.

Eighty one years ago today, my first father in-law was on the USS Missouri . He was the formal escort for the representative of Sweden. My father inlaw was born here then raised in Sweden .. He was brougt back here as a teen. He got into the finest High School but quit to join the navy at 17 because of the war. He spoke three languages ,Swedish, English, Spanish. He was a smart funny man. One of the finest Social Workers in NYC. He would be losing his mind if he were alive today. In a way it is a blessing that so many people are gone now. They don't have to watch the destruction of our country ...

I spent my career working in Corporations on all levels of management, dominated by men. I was exposed to the good, bad and ugly. Never once did I see a man like Hegseth having their wife follow them around everyday, at their job, to make sure a bottle didn't go into their mouth or their d**k didn't go into someone. It would have been unheard of but yet with him it's ok. Amazing!!!

My Dad was a Lt Naval Officer during the Battle of Midway. We buried him at Arlington National Cemetery last September and of course visited the WWII Memorial. Even during his war time Pacific Theater service, his rotation was provided a brief RR in San Francisco.

We are a family of over 10 generations of military service up through 2013. Waiting for the next generation to be of age.

Kaolying Leavitt Replacement? OMG Scott Jennings

Cross bearing Karolying wants more time with her kids. So she has decided to give up the dishonest job of covering her fraudulent boss who has never had an honest day in his life. The consistent job of anyone in Cheeto’s regime is how to not level with the American people. So it’s time to call on the master troll Scott Jennings: that basically this guy is a conservative neo Nazi supporting the Christian Nationalist Movement (“We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity. Our movement is Christian.” Adolph Hitler 1928) Hermann Göring and Joseph Goebbels would be proud.

CNN has this history of both side-ism through the last decade at least but as journalists have pointed out over the last 2y this is a time when that editorial stance is just plain wrong morally and has no respect of the truth.

Cheeto and his sycophants like Jennings know the game they're playing just as the Nazis knew in the 1930's but columns like yours sheds light on the propaganda being spread. Thanks goodness for the internet in creating dialogue that is so meaningful in this era where truth has become virtually meaningless with this NeoNazi party presently in control of our government CNN should be for keeping Jennings hanging around but the network has lost any credibility and decency it used to have.

Hegseth has brought a living Catch-22 to the US military. "There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn’t, but if he was sane he would have to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn’t have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle. “That’s some catch, that Catch-22,” he observed. “It’s the best there is,” Doc Daneeka agreed.

Just switch flying missions to being stuck on a floating target.....crazy making.

treated. I'm horrified too. Horrified at all of it every day.
