Chief Justice John Roberts lacks steel in his spine
The US Supreme Court has lost its legitimacy, but not its power.
There are no words, and there are no coincidences.
It is what it is, and what it is, is very, very bad. There are no excuses for this epic misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. He has utterly disgraced himself, but is immunized from shame by his toxic character — a molten mix of arrogance, self-pity and grievance.
The most important thing to know about Samuel Alito is what he is thinking right now. It is this: F@#$ YOU. LOL.
It is a lifetime appointment, after all.
Samuel Alito has made an assertion and a declaration that is plain as day. Samuel Alito stands with the January 6 criminals and the MAGA cause. They tried to tear down the American flag from the top of the proverbial mast, which is what Alito literally did. Upon the soil and territories of the United States of America there should only be one flag flying from the top of the mast, and that is the American flag, not a cheap knock-off of a historic relic co-opted as a symbol of fascists, conspiracy theorists, MAGA and Trump.
Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas have destroyed the integrity, credibility and reputation of the Roberts Court. Apparently the chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America has decided to emulate a British prime minister when dealing with the snarling aggression he incites through an appeasement of their misconduct. The Court’s naked partisanship, ethical Chernobyl and seditious duo have poured acid on its reputation at an hour of grave and growing crisis.
What Samuel Alito did was predictable by now. It is the reaction of his colleagues that is unconscionable. Shame on them all for remaining silent, but none should feel more embarrassment than John Roberts, a man outmatched by the events of his time. Glibness and brilliance have their place, but sometimes steel is needed. It would be nice to have a chief justice with some steel in his spine.
They can live comfortably without any pay from the government. With their hatchet men donors! But it would be a chastisement on them in the Public Eye. I will not obey these contentious and fractious orders. Jail time for me I suppose. I am a US veteran from the old school. I stand by my oath against all enemies foreign or domestic. I swore an Oath to the Constitution, not to any man or a President. And yes I'm voting for Joe Biden as I did with Hillary Clinton etc. Ty for being patient with me I am in Hospice care. What do we do? We are looking at our supposed leaders -- including news anchors-- and every day, seeing more of them cave to fear and fewer stand for what we assumed were our shared values.

I never thought you were exaggerating when u predicted this-- I just couldn’t picture it happening; I’m almost 80 and Ive lived so long in this belief that above all, Americans value freedom.
Yesterday when I was watching the news (the committee hearing re Garland), I was so disheartened. I thought , Why-- in this incredible time when we (democracy- loving Americans) are being indisputably attacked-- in this slow coup-- Why don’t all the Democrats and the few brave Republicans stop talking to Republicans like they are “esteemed colleagues “ ?? -- and just stop the music-- to say - as one, as a large body, “We are calling you out.” And list the ways and SOMEHOW get Americans attention...
That sounds naive, I know. Yet it breaks my heart to see Reason be bested over and over by Stupid Cruelty .. and each time it happens, people lose faith in Reason.
