The House committee investigating the January 6 insurrection has fulfilled its vital duty. The committee was made up of a group of Americans who shared little in common except for the public trust they asked for, and the oath to the United States Constitution that they took. The committee was made up of men and women from across the United States. It was a committee with black, white, Christian and Jewish American members. It included members of the Democratic and Republican parties. Here is what they determined:
“That evidence has led to an overriding and straight-forward conclusion: the central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump, who many others followed. None of the events of January 6th would have happened without him.”
There is a prayer made by President John Adams that is carved in granite above the fireplace in the White House that serves as the State Dining Room. It reads: “Blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men rule under this roof.”
