America is being cornered
Donald Trump has become entangled in a web of depravity, lies and conspiracies that he stoked until the blaze started kicking at the front gates of Mar-a-Lago.
The fire has arrived, and the panic has begun.
One amazing feature of the Wall Street Journal exposé that details the “bawdy” birthday letter and naked girl drawings Trump gave Jeffrey Epstein that were bound in a book for the pedophile’s 50th birthday, and presented to him by Ghislaine Maxwell, is that, while Trump was threatening to sue the WSJ for the reporting, he was claiming that it was all a Democratic “hoax.”
Trump is spinning like a top, and lying like Joe Isuzu.
The other day,
suggested that any person who believes Trump’s babble is “weapons-grade stupid.” That is an accurate statement if there ever was one, and everyone knows that stupid cannot be fixed.Next to the stupid are Trump’s true believers, who worship Trump like the people once worshipped Jim Jones and David Koresh.
After that, the ranks are quickly thinning.
Trump’s poll numbers are in free fall. His 2024 coalition is in a state of fundamental collapse.
The American people understand in growing numbers that Trump is an unfit imbecile, surrounded by the worst of the worst of the worst. His election was no mandate, but rather a repudiation of the 2024 Democrats, who should never return to the battlefield.
The majority of the American people deplore the policies and insanity of the spiraling and chaotic Trump regime. There is a single question ahead in 2026, which is: should Trump continue to have a rubber-stamp Congress, or should he have a check placed on his power?
Should he be reminded that the United States is the oldest democratic republic in the world, and the rights of the American people are never to be trifled with?
Should this insanity be brought to heel?
America must leave this era of conspiracy, corruption and stagnation behind — or America will be consumed by it.
The most unfit president in American history isn’t just a liar and incompetent — which would be bad enough — but Trump is so much more.
He is a world historical degenerate and a fool without peer in a dangerous world that he believes that he commands, but, in fact, is swallowing him whole.
Donald Trump will lose his Politburo in 472 days, and provided the Democratic Party can move past the incompetence of Jamie Harrison, the lust for more power by its geriatric leaders, and the epic gaslighting of the Biden family and their incompetent campaign, then MAGA will be destroyed in 2029.
The future of the United States depends on this. So far, the leadership of the Democratic Party seems oblivious to the reality that the American people don’t trust them, or like them. That starts with Chuck Schumer, whom history will remember as the foremost appeaser of Donald Trump at the edge of catastrophe.
Massachusetts is a perfect example of this dynamic, where Senator Ed Markey, aged 79, is gearing up for reelection, and would finish his term when he is 86.
What about Congresswoman Ayanna Presley or Congressman Jake Auchincloss?
What about the next generation of leaders who can rise and shine in a fight that determines whether we make it to King’s mountaintop, or become the shining city on a hill?
What we are witnessing in America is consequences.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you again that elections don’t matter.
They do.
Trump’s presidency is already a historic failure. Soon, it will be a full-fledged disaster, and then there will be catastrophe.
What comes after the catastrophe is the most interesting question in American politics. The answer is coming due sooner than most people expect.
After the catastrophe, we get to decide whether it is time to start making things better, or whether it’s time to double down. After 10 years of insanity one thing should be abundantly clear: America, like Trump, is running out of maneuver room.
The difference is that Trump is being cornered by his dead best friend, who was a criminal and a pedophile.
America is being cornered by the pedophile’s best friend, the President of the United States, who loves to draw.
There are many words available in the English language to describe what is happening right now in America, but “hoax” isn’t one of them.
What is happening is very real indeed — just like the 1,000 plus girls abused by the animal Jeffrey Epstein and his friends.
Who were his friends?
Men like Trump.
Thank you Steve- this is spot on. I'm learning that being a responsible citizen means continual engagement and while it's exhausting, it's required if we are to survive this mess of our own making.
There is little chance that any republican will meet the moment with courage. The entire party is in his grasp and all of them are scared still of him. Perhaps in the midterms some courageous conservatives will be elected but it’s doubtful they’ll be republicans.
