Alito’s disgrace

Justice Samuel Alito is a liar.

His excuse for the inverted flag begins with a concocted story about a neighbor who wrote “F@#% Trump” on a lawn sign near a school bus stop.

Mrs. Alito was so alarmed by the degradations and profane, yet protected speech that she went immediately home, and inverted the American flag signaling distress.

Here’s the problem: there were no school buses and no school children on them in January 2021 in Alexandria, Virginia. Schools in the city were closed for a full year as a result of the pandemic, and didn’t re-open until March 2021.

Samuel Alito made a political statement when he flew his flag upside down. He made a declaration. He said to the mob that stormed the Capitol of the United States and defecated on the floors of the US Senate and US House, “I am one of you. I stand with you.”

Samuel Alito is unfit to serve on the United States Supreme Court. His ascension stands singularly behind the invasion of Iraq as President George W Bush’s biggest mistake. He is corrupt, incredibly partisan, and without a doubt, the Justice who leaked word of the Dobbs decision to his patron and sugar daddy Leonard Leo, who gave it to The Wall Street Journal. It seems to me that it is well past time to abandon the charade around Samuel Alito and all of the inappropriate “coincidences” that seem to alight around him. The Roberts Court has become a disaster of the first magnitude — the most corrupt court in American history.

Alito cannot and must not rule on the Trump cases before him. He must recuse himself, but he won’t.

There is a simple truth that should be faced squarely. The US Supreme Court has two members that are insurrectionist sympathizers: Alito and Thomas. They are dishonest, financially corrupt and profoundly extreme. The US Supreme Court is on fire.

Do you know what is an appropriate symbol to describe the distress to America caused by those two men? An inverted flag.
