This sinister photograph is historic because the betrayal is epic. It is the preface to global disaster that will be sold to the American public as “Peace In Our Time.”
The photograph is a record of national immorality, though a triumph of sorts for Secretary Little Marco who has become the Cuban Ribbentrop grinning with the Russian bear.
Vladimir Putin’s entire propaganda project — and the entire focus of his abysmal interview with Tucker Carlson — was to claim that Ukraine did not exist as a nation separate from Russia.
Donald Trump and his errand boy have just validated Putin’s illegal war strategy by cutting both Ukraine and our European allies out of the Riyadh summit to discuss its end with the aggressor, who can end the war in an instant by withdrawing to Russian territory and returning Ukraine’s stolen children.
It is outrageous and utterly foolish.
The American position has become anchored by Russian propaganda, and unmoored from the interests of the Atlantic Alliance and 80 years of wisdom about peace being maintained through strength.
The great danger of this moment is how many political leaders in America have become estranged from the values, ideas and ideals of the United States — let alone the concept of the West’s strategic interests.
The central lessons of history are clear. Weakness invites miscalculation, and miscalculation risks war.
Wars begin for two reasons. The first is the aggressor believes that they can achieve their objectives militarily, and the price is worth the cost. Peace is maintained by making sure no aggressor can ever find their way to imagining those two things possibly being true.
The world has not known global war for 80 years.
The last one was fictionalized by the author Herman Wouk in his epic “The Winds of War.”
I’ve been thinking about that title lately. It unsettles me, and reminds me of the preface from that book:

All of this back and forth outraged Ted Cruz who didn’t have the ‘cajones’ to defend his wife when Trump called her crazy or ugly, his father when Trump slandered him as an assassin, or Texas, which he abandoned to wallow in Cancun during the worst storm in the state’s history:
I’m not sure what he is talking about with regard to my history of serving and betraying powerful men. When he said it I had maintained a powerful man’s secret for 12 years, while bearing the brunt of blame for his misjudgment.

It has been said that no man is a hero to his valet. It is certainly true of candidates and their consultants. At least not the ones with self-respect and dignity. Sycophancy isn’t a virtue; it’s a cancer. My loyalty is to the truth, and the country — no matter what.

Rubio, Cruz and Scott are lying scum of the earth...all three should be removed from elected and appointed office and thrown in a dungeon cell for the rest of their miserable lives ....or just put them on a boat and deport them, never being allowed in this country again....I suppose while we are at it, lets thrown in the entire GOP republican party, tRUMP, muskrat and his entire administration...get rid of all these unfit criminal bastards.
