The war events are happening fast and it is now apparent that Putin's regime cannot sustain nearly 1.5m casualties, untold loss of military armaments, weather economic sanctions without consequences that imperil his oligarchic dictatorship The end is coming clearer into focus as Putin considers how to capitulate
Meanwhile Putin's main ally Cheeto took a bet on the Russian authoritarian state and it's not looking good for the orange demented one He lost an ally in Orban who lost his re-election last month, will lose the fascist Zionist Netanyahu based on public opinion, and in the near future will lose his favorite Russian counterpart But one thing WE the People can count on, Cheeto will perversely double down until the electorate renders him impotent with the 2026 midterms
I watched Mr. Nobody Against Putin last night, a great film that won an Oscar for best documentary. Very very important to see how Putin brainwashes the Russian people (and some cautionary tales for all of us).
It's hard to convey the visceral disgust and shame I feel about the betrayal of Ukraine by a country that has launched so many wars in the name of freedom. It is no longer a real reason if it ever was. We defeated the Nazis and Japan but since then, where have all the wars led us? One could say we kept S. Korea free. We used to admit war refugees, Vietnamese in particular, but now when you look at the immigration and refugee policy we have betrayed that as well. We betray our own people, that's where it started.
Steve, I am wondering if the Republican House members who were part of the Retribution outster can have their own retribution.. ALL OF THEM should immediately resign from the Republican party and register as Independants. That would oust Speaker Johnson and they would have the last laugh.
Outstanding discussion, Steve. I’m going to buy the book. And I salute the Ukrainian warriors and patriots on the tip of the spear in the struggle for freedom and democracy for their spunky hearts and steadfast souls.
They are an inspiration to anyone who loves liberty and loathes tyranny. It is appalling to me how we betrayed Ukraine but, much to Ukraine’s credit, Ukrainians are far more forgiving of Americans than I am for what the Trump regime has done to them.
Putin’s attempted genocide of Ukraine has backfired miserably. Ukraine’s future is a bright one that includes Ukraine being the new leader of the free world, as the author pointed out.
Let’s hope that 80 years from now Ukraine doesn’t lose ifs way and its honor like the U.S. did at that point when it was the leader of the free world.
the problem with a cyclical argument is that 4th turning apathy; we have to break that concept somehow. it cannot be acceptable to say that some generations are simply too far removed from war. we must take responsibility and out those who choose not to do so. apathy is a failure of parenting.
