A corporal speaks in Munich
I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.
— Assistant U.S. Attorney Hagan Scotten, in his resignation letter to Emil Bove, acting deputy attorney general, refusing to drop the case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams
JD Vance and Pete Hegseth travelled to Europe, mixing obnoxious incompetence with belligerent bluster, while offering appeasement for Putin and contempt for America’s allies that portend chaos in the world.
Pete Hegseth is a buffoonish and comedic figure at some level. The former Fox Weekend host’s inaugural encounter with the real world seemed jarring to him like a little boy seeing his first dinosaur at the Natural History Museum. He was less the ugly American than the vapid and loud one pissing against the BierHalle after a 3 am bender.
Hegseth must have intrigued the Germans, who have a long history and fascination with lighter-than-air fueled modes of transportation like the Graf Zeppelin. Until Hegseth touched down no German engineer had ever imagined it was possible to make something so light ever touch the ground again.
JD Vance made clear that Vladimir Putin would win his war of aggression, which has killed over 1,000,000 people, and seen the kidnapping of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children.
Vance made clear — with one deranged statement — the chaos to come:
And trust me, I say this with all humor: If American democracy can survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg’s scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk.
Think about that sentence.
Look at this picture:
Look at this one:
JD Vance could have talked about the threats freedom faces from tyranny all over the world. Instead, he attacked the leaders of Europe’s mainstream political parties that are grounded in the democratic faith. This represents a breaking of faith by the United States.
Here are some of the headlines out of Europe in reaction to Vance’s speech:
JD Vance stuns Munich conference with blistering attack on Europe’s leaders
Scholz rebukes Vance, defends Europe's stance on hate speech and far right
Scholz slams Vance’s support for far right as ‘interference’ by ‘outsiders’
This will not make America great.
The world is heating up.
Danger is building.
Years of chaos are just now beginning.
My mother-in-law is a wonderful woman, and a The Warning subscriber.
She asked a question the other day, which was this:
How is The Warning doing since so many people I know say they can’t bear to turn on the television or read the news?
The answer, of course, is simple. The Warning audience is highly informed, and not part of America’s tuned-out population.
Tuning out may offer a bit of a reprieve, but it leads to a dead end because, in the end, there is no escaping and no hiding from what is coming.
The trouble will find us all because too many of us tuned out for far too long, and forgot the things we said could not ever be forgotten.
This is why JD Vance’s visit to Dachau was so hollow. He seems incapable of absorbing the lessons.
This is the danger, and this is the warning.

Meanwhile, back home, we have DOGE Incels firing people involved with nuclear weapons safety. This is what happens when End of Time Christians collaborate with the Brainless and Feckless: we all end up dead.
America has never looked so weak, small and ignorant. Excellent piece, Steve, Thank You, and will reStack ASAP 🙏💯👍🇺🇸
