A boggle so boggling
Less than a week has passed since Donald Trump threatened the nuclear obliteration of 93 million people and a 7,000-year-old civilization that is a keystone of humanity’s story. Mostly, the corrupt American media has moved on as if it were perfunctory, routine, or uneventful.
Had Trump made his threat come true then it would have constituted the greatest crime in human history.
What is the meaning of the threat to commit such a crime?
What does it mean that the threat came from the president of the United States?
What does it say about the United States?
What have We the People allowed the nation to become?
The New York Times has reported that Trump’s decision to launch his disastrous war against Iran was preceded by a poll of his court inside the Situation Room at the White House. There, Trump asked his advisors one by one if they supported launching the attack.
Tulsi Gabbard, a member of a violent yoga cult, was not there, and neither was JD Vance, who said this, while campaigning for Viktor Orbán in Hungary:
Taking their place were Trump’s “Children of the Corn” Karoline Leavitt and Steven Cheung with whom the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff agreed that, whatever Trump decided, was the right thing.
The consequences of Trump’s decision — made by him alone — have set off an inflationary shockwave that will sink the American economy into recession for the achievement of establishing Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. It was once an international artery, but now it is an IRGC toll road through which 20 percent of the world’s oil and 20-30 percent of its fertilizer transits.
The “yes boss” chorus of sycophantic fools and addled extremists who have risen to power inside the Trump carnival have engineered a strategic victory for the Ayatollahs. It is also a crushing blow to the cause of liberty in Iran, a death blow to NATO in Europe, while enriching Russia, empowering China, and making the United States the world’s preeminent villain. Their collective incompetence is exceptional, historic and truly unprecedented across American history.
Never has so much idiocy been witnessed so clearly, quickly and easily.
It is truly mind-boggling.
But then in the middle of the boggling comes a boggle so boggling that it shakes to the earth, and makes what was mind-boggling in the previous moment seem utterly mundane in the present.
I am talking, of course, about Melania, the Slovenian “model,” who fancies herself a lonely “visionary:”
She entered the room underneath the presidential seal, passing between two American flags guarding an arch, and stood behind a podium embossed with a presidential seal.
Then she spoke.
She did not meet Donald through Jeffrey.
She was not friends with Ghislaine.
These are “mean-spirited attempt to defame [her] reputation.”
She wants congressional hearings.
Then she walked away.

I am almost 80. It's writers like Steve S who keep me from complete despair. Trump and his minions will tamper with ballots. All his people LIE constantly. Now he's posting deranged videos such as the one showing a woman being killed. The Republicans in Congress are spineless.
